When Kayci and Connor suggested Carmel-by-the-Sea for their engagement session, I wasn’t quite prepared to fall in love with it as much as I did. This little town was the perfect backdrop for their engagement session; it had the white-sand-beach, the flowers she loves so much, the cutest little streets and shops, and of course was a sentimental place for their relationship!
We spent our whole session giggling and snuggling (well, THEY were snuggling!) and enjoying the beautiful weather. It happened to be Earth Day, and I remember thinking there was no better way to celebrate this beautiful Earth than this ๐
If you’ve ever wanted to do a beach session but wanted more than just beach pictures, Carmel-By-The-Sea is the perfect location! We could have shot ALL day because there was so much variety in location. The sand is white and golden hour in that little town is just magical ๐ It’s important for beach pictures to wait until the sun is almost set to get those pretty pastel-colors. Especially since the sand is white, doing this session at noon would have made everything SO bright and would not have been flattering for skin tones. But as you’ll see – we were able to shoot at the most beautiful time of day; right before the sunset!
This will always be one of my all-time favorite engagement sessions because I loved Carmel-by-the-sea, but more importantly I loved spending time with these people <3 Kacyi and Connor, you guys are the most fun!
