Ashlee and Lando | Piedmont Community Hall Wedding

Ashlee and Lando got married a week ago today and it was one for the books! Their maturity in the Lord and desire to please Him with their relationship is one-of-a-kind. During the ceremony, an older couple stood up to affirm that after two years of meeting with Ashlee and Lando, their relationship was ready to move forward. The entirety of their relationship has consisted of seeking the Lord’s will and following His direction. How many twenty-somethings can you say that about?! I felt so challenged and encouraged by their example.

 

I think Ashlee is the most relaxed bride I’ve ever seen. Nothing seemed to stress her out and joy was the theme of the day. I mean, shouldn’t it always be that way? Right after she got into her dress, she looked in the mirror and emotionally said “I’m just ready to marry him right now”. After a few sniffles, one of her girls said “well you still have to wait a few hours! You can’t marry him RIGHT NOW!” Shortly after that, her and Lando shared a first-touch instead of seeing each other before the ceremony (see the pictures below for a little prank they pulled on Lando). She told him she wanted to see him…and there was just one corned in between them. I applauded her for her self-control! It was so obvious they were just ready to be married!

You two are generous, Godly, fun, and a perfect match for each other. Keep putting the Lord first and you’ll be sure to have a successful marriage. You have such a strong community of people praying for you and supporting you. Thank you for including me in your beautiful wedding day.
