2021 is HERE! We can celebrate that the year of totally being blindsided is over, am I right?!
Did you get engaged recently? If so, you’re thinking about your 2021-2022 wedding and looking for inspiration. I hope you find that here!
Without futher ado, here are some trends we can expect in 2021:
1.) Fully embracing local vendors and small businesses. I don’t even think this one needs an explanation; vendors and small businesses were hit hard. Consumers and couples are now being intentional to support brands that align with their values, brands that took a hard hit in 2020, and brands that are local to the Bay Area for their wedding!
2.) Quality over Quantity. In 2020, you saw guest lists get slashed. With that came a higher budget for other things like florals, venue, photography, etc. We’ll continue to see that in 2021.
3.) Creative guest list options. We may see more drive-through receptions, staggered attendance, and Facebook Watch parties.
4.) Unique Entertainment. With dance floors up in the air, couples will get creative with their entertainment! This may look like Emcees, comedians, impersonators, murder mysteries, etc. Although we all want to get down on the dance floor, it’s good to think of creative backup options! Here’s a small list of wedding entertainment in the Bay!
5.) Restaurant Style Eating. Say goodbye to buffet tables! Plates will be served restaurant style, or boxed food will continue to grow in popularity.
Have you booked your Bay Area Wedding photographer yet? If not, you can get in touch with me here. We can chat about whether we’re a good fit! 🙂
