“Sam, I’d say welcome to the family…but you’ve already been a part of our family for so long.”

The week of their tenth dating anniversary, Samantha and Kyle celebrated their wedding despite some pandemic challenges thrown their way! Last minute venue changes, vendor cancellations, and ever-changing government regulations kept them on their toes…but if I learned anything about the newlyweds, it’s that they can handle anything hand in hand.

And…they can make it look really good 😉

There were so many special, magical moments throughout the day; one of my favorites was when Sam & her two sisters huddled on the dance floor and starting chanting “sisters! sisters! sisters!” 😭 If that doesn’t make your heart explode as a parent, I don’t know what would.

Sam’s cousin wrote her and Kyle a song that included their awkwardness around their first high school dance together and their forever love. They honored God in their ceremony and enjoyed some really special dances with their family and friends. Does it get any better?!

A little side note – I met Samantha when we were in high school (we played soccer together!) and so although I didn’t know them well, I always knew her and Kyle together. “High school sweethearts” is a pretty special label and I’m glad these two get to carry that for the rest of their life.
