Megan and Isaac | Dougherty Station Community Center Wedding

“As soon as I found out that Isaac had called Megan, I cried. Not just because I thought I may lose my sister, but because couples seem to get lost in their own world and I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to break in…but Isaac and Megan aren’t like that. They can love each other without making anyone feel left out. I’ve never felt like a third wheel. That’s one reason I know you two will make it.” Hannah, Megan’s “womb-mate”, beautifully shared what everyone in that reception hall knew to be true. Megan and Isaac love each other deeply, but their hearts are big enough to include everyone in “their own little world”.

Although they are great at loving people, what made Isaac and Megan’s wedding bigger than themselves was the focus and honor they gave the Lord. He was acknowledged and praised in every event of the day; it was clear they both live their lives in this same manner.

Four different traditions were celebrated during their ceremony, which was an amazing way to honor their heritage and faith. Before Isaac broke the glass and everyone shouted “Mazeltov!”, the officiant explained what exactly that celebratory word means. It’s not a wish for good fortune, it’s an celebration that you have found good luck and blessing. And as Isaac broke that glass, I guarantee you neighbors a mile away heard everyone’s excited cheers!! Isaac and Megan shared their first kiss at the altar and danced down the aisle as happy as I I’ve ever seen anyone.

Thank you for trusting me with your wedding photography. Thank you for allowing me to witness the love you have for each other, and the love that encompasses you through your family and friends. Everyone who knows you adores you and can affirm that God truly has brought you together. Isaac, you make Megan’s eyes light up and you put the biggest smile on her face. Do everything in your power to keep that up! And Megan, I could tell Isaac is so proud to have you. Keep loving and respecting Him the way you do and I know he will always feel that way! Enjoy the newlywed bliss…but I’ll tell you, it only gets better! <3
