When it comes to CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software, you have a lot of options. For wedding and event based professionals, I don’t think there is a better option than Honeybook!
I could go into extreme detail, but I’ve outlined my top three favorite features of Honeybook so you can see if it’s right for you!
1.) Automated Payment Reminders/Invoice Setup
Getting paid is a big deal, right? I used to feel so awkward emailing my clients to say “your payment was due yesterday…are you sending it soon?”. Now, I use honeybook to send out automated reminders so my clients always know what to expect and when. The invoices are setup so your clients can see exactly which payment is due when…and you don’t have to worry about it at all!
2.) App Integration
Let’s be honest- we’re not always working behind our computer. I’m typing this on my phone in Kaiser while waiting to do routine blood work. The honeybook app gives you the ability to manage invoices, send files, communicate with your clients, or do anything you would do on the desktop website! I use it most frequently at the post office when I’m getting the address for my clients off their questionnaire 🙂
I’ll expand in the next point about this, but I love being notified via the Honeybook app when I get an inquiry. My email push notifications are intentionally turned off, but I always want to respond to inquiries as fast as I can (in my mind, if I’m not responding, another photographer might be!). The app will automatically tell you if you’re booked that day; if not, you can respond and get that client on the books!
3.) Contact Form
Honeybook has a custom contact form that can be integrated on your website. When a client contacts you using the contact form, honeybook automatically creates a project for that event/client under the “inquiry” stage. Depending on what the client fills out, honeybook will automatically fill out project fields such as the venue, date, names, etc. so many small steps that save YOU so much time!!
As mentioned above, the app will also notify you the moment you receive an inquiry. It tells you if it thinks you’re available that day based on your calendar. How cool is that?
4.) Community/Opportunities
And one more, because I couldn’t limit myself to three points! This section has two different meanings; one related to other creatives, and one related to Honeybook itself.
Honeybook has created an online community for creatives to connect with other creatives; you can post jobs or collaborative opportunities for other photographers in a certain geographic region. You can also “connect” with other creatives like any other social media platform. For example, a photographer can post that they are looking for a second shooter next month in San Francisco. When candidates comment on the post, the lead photographer can click on their profile, view their latest work, and get in touch with them. So cool!!
Honeybook and the Rising Tide Society are integrated with one another, so we know they embrace the mange of community over competition! Honeybook is an active supporter of community, support, and social change. When natural disasters like Hurricane Harvey occur, Honeybook is a leader in organizing donations and other support methods. Natalie Franke, leader of the Rising Tide Society, is a big supporter of Pencils for Promise. This organization builds schools in third world countries in order to provide education for those who otherwise wouldn’t have it. Who wouldn’t want to support companies that support these endeavors?
I know there are a lot of options for CRM systems out there, but I don’t think you can do any better than Honeybook.
