Frequently Asked Questions 

Full sessions with Julia typically yield 65-95 photos. Full sessions with an associate typically yield 50-75 images. 

Right now, associate sessions only take place in the Tri-Valley. A trusted and experienced associate will photograph your family session and the images will be edited in-house to give you the timeless and light style. Pre-shoot communication and prep happen with both Julia and your photographer. 

If you've done them already, you can still keep your engagement session to help us get comfortable with each other! It makes the wedding day a little easier for you. If you don't want it, the session can be swapped for an extra hour of coverage on the wedding day or for a discount. 

Yes! Upon booking you are sent a location guide with some of our most popular shooting spots. You aren't required to choose one, but it's a great starting point! If we need to find a new spot, we can do research to find exactly what you want. 

Typically in your home. If you aren't comfortable with that, we can book a studio for a small additional fee. I advise outdoor newborn sessions only if the weather is warm enough. 

It's a collection of dresses for mama to choose from. You are not required to wear one for your session, but it's available if you don't want to buy a dress just for your session. I have a wide range of sizes and all dresses are carefully selected to go well with my light and airy style. Most dresses are bump-friendly. 

Mini sessions are only offered 2-3 times a year; typically in the spring and fall. They are offered first to past clients. Any leftover sessions are then offered to the general public via Instagram and Facebook.
